2022 Mahindra Scorpio To Get 360 Degree Camera, Larger Infotainment

The new-generation Mahindra Scorpio is scheduled to arrive in early 2022. The automaker, however, has been testing the vehicle from last two years and we have seen thousands of spy images and videos revealing important details. A fresh spy video confirms that the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will feature a 360 degree parking camera as the spotted test mule features grille integrated front camera just beneath the signature badge. With the generation change, the SUV will receive a new touchscreen infotainment system that’s expected to measure around 8.0-inch. The unit will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The dashboard will be entirely a new unit. The new Mahindra Scorpio 2022 will have dual-tone tan brown and black leatherette upholstery along with a flat bottom, multi functional steering wheel, a semi digital instrument console and a digital MID.

The feature list will also include an electric sunroof, a dual zone climate control, connected car features, forward facing third row seat, driver side armrest, engine start/stop button and more. On the safety front, the new Mahindra Scorpio will be better than before. Its safety kit might include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), rear parking camera, hill start assist, anti-lock braking system (ABS), auto headlamps and auto wipers. The new Mahindra Scorpio 2022 will underpin the modified ladder frame chassis and come with petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol model will use a new 2.0L turbo motor, the diesel version will be packed with a 2.2L mHawk unit. The SUV model lineup will be available with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. It will continue to come with the RWD (rear-wheel-drive) system.

Prices of the new Scorpio are likely to start around Rs 13 lakh and go up to Rs 17.50 lakh. More details of the SUV are likely to be revealed in coming months. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
