In the next couple of weeks, there will be three big new car launches across different segments. While Hyundai will bring in the fourth-generation Tucson on 14th, Toyota will announce prices of the all-new Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV on 16th August 2022. The new-generation Maruti Alto K10 is also reported to go on sale on 18th August. Here’s a brief on the aforementioned upcoming models.
New-Gen Hyundai Tucson
The fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson carries the brand’s ‘Sensual Sportiness’ design language along with a parametric grille, newly-designed headlamps with LED DRLs, flared and angular wheel arches, 18-inch, dual-tone alloys, dual T-shaped LED taillamps connected via an LED light bar, rear bumper with a diamond-pattern finish and a faux silver skid plate.
The long wheelbase version of the Tucson measures 150mm longer and have more cabin space to offer than the outgoing model. Several feature upgrades have also been made. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder
Toyota’s all-new mid-size SUV – Urban Cruiser Hyryder – is ready to hit Indian roads. The SUV will come with two hybrid powertrains – Suzuki’s 1.5L K15C Dualjet petrol motor with Smart Hybrid tech and Toyota’s 1.5L TNGA Atkison Cycle with a lithium-ion battery. While the former is good for 103bhp and 136Nm, the latter makes 92bhp with 122Nm.
One must note that the AWD system will be offered with manual gearbox only. Suzuki’s NeoDrive hybrid will be available in E, S, G and V trims, while Toyota’s Hybrid system will be offered in the S, G and V trims only. The SUV model lineup can be had in 7 monotone and 4 dual-tone exterior colour options. It has been equipped with several advanced connectivity and safety features that vary variant-wise. New-Gen Maruti Alto K10
Recently, images and details of the upcoming 2022 Maruti Alto K10 have been leaked on the web. The hatchback’s new-generation model will come in 12 variants including 8 manual and 4 automatic. Under the hood, it will house a 69bhp, 1.0L K10C petrol engine and the existing 48bhp, 0.8L petrol motor.
In terms of features, the new Alto K10 will get a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and electronic stability programe (ESP). Significant cosmetic changes will also be made to the hatch. This time around, it will carry more angular design elements giving it refreshing look.
