Maruti Suzuki has planned three new car launches this year including the new-generation Vitara Brezza, Alto and all-new mid-size SUV. One must note that the company hasn’t yet revealed official launch timeline of these aforementioned models. Though, the reports suggest the new Brezza will arrive in June and the new Alto and mid-size SUV will witness a release near around 2022 festive season. 2022 Maruti Brezza
Maruti Suzuki’s top-selling SUV is going to be better in terms of design, features and performance with the generation change. The model is reported to come with improved styling along with the updated 1.5L K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine. The motor delivers a claimed power of 103bhp and 137Nm of torque. There will be a new 6-speed automatic gearbox along with the standard 5-speed manual unit. If reports are to be believed, the carmaker might remove the SHVS mild hybrid system from the powertrain and introduce a CNG version.
The new Maruti Brezza will also be safer and lighter than before. Major changes will be made to its interior as well. The SUV will come with a larger and updated infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless smartphone charging, a 360 degree camera, Head-Up Display (HUD), connected car tech and many more new features. 2022 Maruti Alto
The new-generation Maruti Alto is reported to hit roads in July or August 2022. Its production might start by the end of June. The hatchback’s new model will be taller and higher than the existing version. While the crossover-ish stance with flatter roofline will give it a new look, the signature boxy stance will be retained. It will underpin the Heartech platform that’s used in the brand’s new breed cars.
Interior will be updated with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system with the smartphone connectivity, a semi digital instrument console, engine start/stop button and keyless entry. Maruti Suzuki Mid-Size SUV
The Indo-Japanese automaker is working on a new mid-size SUV that will be co-developed with Toyota. The model is reported to launch during 2022 festive season. Interestingly, the new Maruti SUV will share its platform (Toyota’s TNGA-B), design elements, features and engines with the upcoming Toyota mid-size SUV. Though, both models will look different and retail via the carmakers’ respective dealerships.
The new Maruti SUV is likely to come with two petrol engines paired to mild and strong hybrid system. There will be no diesel engine option.
