Tata Motors revived the iconic Safari SUV brand in February 2021, introducing a completely new design, upmarket interior, and diesel powertrain. Now, the flagship SUV is set to receive a major update around this year’s festive season. Numerous spy images and videos have already given us a fair idea of the upcoming 2023 Tata Safari. This time, we get a glimpse of its interior, which appears to be heavily inspired by the Curvv concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.

We can clearly notice the new two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo panel in between. The new floating curved touchscreen, however, seems similar to the unit offered on the new Land Rovers. The display will measure 10.25 inches and support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The instrument cluster also receives new graphics. The center console, with a gloss black finish, features a new drive mode control knob with a knurled finish and a short gear lever. Additionally, the facelifted Safari will offer features such as ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech, wireless phone charging, electrically adjustable front seats, and powered second-row seats.

While the interior witnesses comprehensive upgrades, the engine bay will retain the 2.0L diesel engine. The oil burner, paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, delivers a maximum power of 170PS and 350Nm of torque. Rumor also has it that the new 2023 Tata Safari facelift could be made available with the brand’s new 1.5L turbo direct injection petrol engine.

Regarding design changes, the new 2023 Tata Safari facelift will feature a newly-designed split headlamp cluster with LED projectors and an LED DRL bar running across its front fascia. The SUV may also receive new 19-inch alloy wheels, and the rear profile will be revised with a new taillamp setup, connected via an LED bar.
