Royal Enfield has announced that it will launch a new motorcycle on 30th August 2023. While the company hasn’t yet revealed the name of the upcoming product, the invite mentions “a 91-year-old icon that has been the oldest motorcycle brand still in continuous production, is about to once again make its mark in the world of motorcycling.” It hints that the upcoming model will be the new-generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350, which has been on test for a very long time. The bike’s all-new version will be unveiled at the company’s R&D and manufacturing facility in Chennai.
Spy images have already indicated that the new Bullet 350 will come with significantly improved design and new tech. The engine setup will be borrowed from the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. That means the bike will use the 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing power worth 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed gearbox.
The suspension and braking mechanism of the new 2023 Royal Enfield 350 will also be similar to the Meteor 350. The latter one comes with conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The bike will have front and rear disc brakes with the standard single-channel ABS. The underpinning will also be changed, and the new Bullet 350 will be designed on Royal Enfield’s new ‘J’ platform, which is already used in the Meteor 350. The 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will have chrome accents around its retro-styled circular headlamp, rear-view mirrors, and taillamp, giving it a refreshing look. Moreover, the bike will come with a new single-piece seat that’s likely to offer better lumbar support.
With all the aforementioned cosmetic changes, feature upgrades, new engine, and platform, the 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is likely to witness a minor price hike. The new-generation model could be priced around Rs 10,000 – Rs 12,000 more than the existing one.
