Skoda Auto India will announce prices of the updated Kodiaq SUV on 10th January 2022. While its unofficial bookings have already been commenced at select dealerships, deliveries will start from 14th January. Production of the SUV is already underway at the company’s Aurangabad plant in Maharashtra.
– According to a fresh media report, prices of the new 2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelift will start from Rs 36.50 lakh (for the entry-level Style variant). The SUV model lineup will also be available in SportLine and L&K variants.
– One of the most significant changes will come in the form of the 2.0L, turbocharged petrol engine producing power worth 190bhp and 320Nm of torque. It will drop the 150bhp, 2.0L diesel engine.
– For performing transmission duties, the SUV will have a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. It will come with AWD (all-wheel drive) system. There will be three driving modes – Standard, Sport and Comfort. Read – Top Changes of 2022 Skoda Karoq SUV
– The new Kodiaq will be packed with lots of new goodies. Features such as Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), a 360 degree camera and ventilated front seats will be reserved for the range-topping L&K trim.
– The SportLine variant will offer a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It will get sporty black treatment on the front grille, alloy wheels, ORVMs with window trim and roof rails.
– The SUV will continue to come with the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but will have updated software.
– No changes will be made to its dashboard design and seating layout. Though, the SUV will receive a new two-spoke steering wheel and new upholstery. It will get 9 airbags as standard safety fitment.
After the new 2022 Skoda Kodiaq SUV, the company will launch the Slavia mid-size sedan in March 2022. The model will be based on the Made-for-India MQB A0 IN platform that’s claimed to involve up to 95 percent localization. It will replace the Rapid sedan in India.
