Skoda has officially revealed the 2022 Karoq facelift, which comes with design changes, new features and improved engine efficiency. First launched in 2017 as Yeti replacement, the Skoda Karoq has been one of the best selling SUVs from the Czech automaker globally.
– In terms of styling changes, the 2022 Skoda Karoq facelift gets new and slimmer LED headlight and tail-light, and a revised hexagonal grille and new body-coloured bumpers.
– The SUV comes with a longer rear spoiler, a front apron with air curtains and new alloy wheel designs in 17, 18 and 19-inch diameters. Adding to it, the new Karoq has an aerodynamically optimised fuel tank.
– Skoda claims that the design changes have reduced the drag by 9 percent to a Cd of 0.30, making it one of the most aerodynamic cars in its segment.
– Skoda has also introduced an Eco pack, which offers multiple features inside the cabin. This pack offers features like vegan, leather-effect seat covers made from recycled materials and new door trims made of ‘Suedia’ (microsuede).
– The base variant of the 2022 Skoda Karoq comes with an 8-inch digital driver’s display as standard, which replaces the manual dials. It also gets travel assist systems such as front assist, pedestrian protection, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition. The infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets wireless phone charging.
– Move up to the order, the SUV has new body-coloured spoiler, 17-inch wheels and external Aero trim that reduces air turbulence.
– The SportLine trim offers LED matrix headlamps and 18-inch alloys. It also offers Skoda’s Black Pack with black trim for window frames, roof rails, rear diffuser and wing mirrors.
– The 2022 Skoda Karoq facelift will come in 5 engine options – three petrol and two diesel. The petrol range includes 110bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol, a 147bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 187bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol.
– Diesel range comprises of a 116bhp, 2.0L and a 150bhp, 2.0L. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic.
