The new gasoline unit will produce extra power and more fuel efficiency than the existing 1.5L K15B unit. According to a fresh media report, the subcompact SUV might also drop the Smart Hybrid technology that’s currently reserved for automatic variants. The model lineup is likely to be offered with the factory-fitted CNG kit. The new Brezza will receive a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox replacing the aging 4-speed automatic unit. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the model lineup.
As mentioned above, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will have more upmarket interior packed with several new features. Similar to the new Baleno, the SUV will offer a 9.0-inch touchscreen with the updated SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment software, HUD (Head-Up Display) and a 360 degree camera. In order to improve its safety quotient, the automaker will equip it with 6 airbags and make changes to its sheet metal. One must note that the 6 airbag protection could be reserved for higher trims.
All these upgrades will surely make the new Brezza slightly more expensive than the existing model. The latter comes within the price range of Rs 7.69 lakh – Rs 11.33 lakh. It has four automatic variants priced between Rs 9.97 lakh – Rs 11.33 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
