The second-generation Maruti Brezza is surely one of the major car launches of this year. The model is reported to hit showrooms in coming months. Improved Styling
While the new Brezza will retain the original silhouette and body panels, it will feature an all-new grille and sharper dual-beam headlamp clusters with LED DRLs connected via a thick chrome strip. The new fog lamp assembly with wider central air intake further enhance its new look. It will also get tweaked front bumper, new front fenders and revised clamshell bonnet. The side profile will be revised with newly-designed alloy wheels, pronounced black wheel arch cladding and blackened pillars. At the rear, there will be newly-designed wraparound taillights, new bumper with faux skid plate and restyled tailgate.
Lots of New Features
The Indo-Japanese automaker will pack the new Maruti Brezza 2022 with lots of new goodies. It will be as feature-loaded as the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. Reports suggest that the compact SUV will come with the factory-fitted sunroof, a 360 degree camera, wireless charging and wireless smartphone connectivity for the first time. The new Brezza will be equipped with the sim-based connectivity suite offering several connected car features such as find your car, real time tracking, geofencing, intrusion detection and more.
Better Safety
Rumour has it that the new Maruti Brezza 2022 will ditch the existing platform for the Global C architecture that underpins the global-spec Vitara SUV and S-Cross crossover. Besides this, the SUV is likely to get more standard safety fitments.
Stronger Hybrid Tech
Under the hood, the new Brezza will employ the same 1.5L, 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine with the stronger 48V hybrid system instead of the 12V mild hybrid tech. With mild hybrid system, the gasoline unit delivers a claimed power of 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission choices will be include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic unit.
2022 Maruti Brezza CNG
If reports are to be believed, the automaker will introduce the new 2022 Maruti Brezza CNG variant by April. The model will use the 1.5L K15B petrol engine with the factory-fitted CNG kit. The power and torque figures of CNG variant could be slightly lower than the gasoline unit. Though, it will be high on mileage.
