Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the brand’s top-selling SUV, is ready to enter into its second generation in the next couple of days. Interestingly, the SUV’s new model has been named Maruti Brezza. Its prices are slated to announce on 30th June, 2022. The next-generation model lineup will be available in a total of 10 variants including 7 manual and 3 automatic. For power, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will use the 1.5L K15C smart hybrid petrol engine with Dualjet and Dual VVT technology.
Compared to the existing motor, the new one will be more fuel efficient and have better NVH levels. Though, its power and torque figures could be slightly lower. A new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox will replace the old 4-speed unit. The subcompact SUV will continue to come with the standard 5-speed manual gearbox. The same powertrain setup is offered on the new Ertiga MPV. The new Maruti Brezza CNG variant is reported to arrive later.
No changes will be made to its dimensions. The new Brezza will continue to measure 3995mm long, 1790mm wide and 1685mm tall. Its wheelbase will be 2500mm. While the manual variants will have a gross vehicle weight of 1640kg, the automatic models will weigh 1680kg.
The new 2022 Maruti Brezza will get 4 new exterior colour options – Magma Grey, Brave Khaki, Exuberant Blue and Splendid Silver. It will also be available in 3 dual-tone shades – Silver & Khaki, Red & Black and Khaki & White.
Talking about features, the new Brezza will come with a host of new goodies including a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, Suzuki Connect for connected car features, Arkamys audio system, a 360 degree camera, rear AC vents, tilt and telescopic steering and electric sunroof. In order to meet the government’s new safety standards, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will be offered with 6 airbags.
