2022 Maruti Baleno Gets Segment-First 360 Degree Camera

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new Baleno hatchback in the country on February 23, 2022. Bookings for the new model have already commenced online or at authorised NEXA dealerships. In fact, the 2022 Maruti Baleno has already started reaching dealerships for customer previews and test drives.

The 2022 Maruti Baleno will come with several segment-first features, which will give it a competitive edge over its direct rivals. The new Baleno will rival the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and the Honda Jazz. The company has released multiple teaser videos, revealing key features on offer.

The latest teaser video confirms that the 2022 Maruti Baleno will come with segment-first 360 degree camera. The new model is fitted with a new larger 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system. This system is jointly developed by Suzuki and Toyota. The infotainment unit is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The 2022 Maruti Baleno will also come with connected car technology, wireless phone charging Alexa voice commands, segment-first Heads-Up Display or HUD, new flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control and others. In fact, the new model will also get 6 airbags and ESC (Electronic Stability Program).

2022 Maruti Baleno Features

The Maruti Baleno facelift will come with design changes in the form of new bumpers and grille. It looks wider and bolder than the previous model. The updated model gets a new  larger grille & L-Shaped wrap-around projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and a revised bonnet design. It gets revised fenders for new front design and tail-lights. The hatchback gets new tailgate, new L-shaped tail-lights and new bumper.

The Maruti Baleno facelift will come with two engine options – a  83bhp, 1.2L NA petrol and a 90bhp, 1.2L dualjet with 12V mild hybrid system. It will come with a Swift-like single clutch automatic or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) instead of a CVT (was offered in previous model).
