Maruti Suzuki is currently testing multiple new models, which are slated to arrive next year. The model lineup includes the updated XL6, Ertiga, Baleno and the new-generation Vitara Brezza and Alto. Talking about the new 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift, the premium hatchback will come with improved styling and lots of advanced goodies. Its engine setup, however, will remain unchanged. That means, the updated version will continue to derive power from the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 83bhp and 90bhp with 12V mild hybrid technology. Transmissions will also remain intact – i.e. 5-speed manual and CVT automatic.
Major updates will be made inside the cabin. The new 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift will receive a new and larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The unit is reported to have on-board SIM with connected car technology offering features such as real-time tracking, geofencing, two away alert, instrusion detection and more. It might also support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The AC vents will be positioned horizontally below the info unit. What will add more to its premium feel and appeal are the dashboard with layered effect, new brushed aluminum insert and better plastic quality. The list of features will also include a new instrument cluster with a revised MID, a flat-bottom steering wheel, new switchgear for the climate controls, cruise control and more. The Maruti Baleno 2022 will have a newly-designed front fascia featuring a larger grille expanding towards the headlamp assembly, new L-shaped wraparound headlights with new LED DRLs, a wider central air dam, tweaked bumper and new fog lamp assembly. A few significant changes will also be made at the rear section. The updated model will sport a revised bumper, sleeker L-shaped taillamps and a newly-designed tailgate. It might come with newly-designed alloy wheels. The new 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift will carry sharper design language instead of rounded and flowing creases.
