Official bookings for the upcoming new-generation Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 have been commenced across the nation. One can pre-book the hatchback by paying an initial sum of Rs 11,000. Prices of the new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 will be announced on 18th August, 2022. Similar to the existing model, the new one is likely to be offered in four trims – Std, LXi, VXi, and VXi+. There will be 7 manual and 4 AMT (Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+ only) variants. The new Alto K10 will witness significant changes inside and out.
The new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 measures 3530mm in length, 1490mm in width and 1520mm in height (unladen). That means, it’s longer and taller than the existing model. Its wheelbase stands at 2380mm. The hatch offers fuel tank capacity of 17-litres and boot space of 177-litres. As per leaked information, the new Alto K10 will be offered in 6 colour options – Silky White, Solid White, Speedy Blue, Sizzling Red, Granite Grey and Earth Gold.
In terms of features, the Maruti Alto 2022 will offer a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The hatchback might also get remote key, front power windows and manual AC unit. For power, the new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 will use the same 998cc, naturally aspirated K10C petrol engine. The motor, which will be available with manual and AMT gearboxes, returns a claimed power of 66bhp and 89Nm of torque.
After launching the new-generation Alto, the Indo-Japanese automaker will roll out the Maruti Grand Vitara mid-size SUV. It will challenge the dominance of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It will be the first Maruti Suzuki model to come with the strong hybrid powertrain in India.
