Hyundai N Line performance brand will make its officially entry into the Indian market in 2021. The carmaker recently released a teaser video showing the N Line badge of the upcoming vehicle. Just so you know, the N Line is the high-performance division of cars produced by the South Korean carmaker. The Hyundai i20 N Line will be the first model to come under this division in the country. Compared to the regular i20, the upcoming Hyundai i20 N Line carries sportier design elements along with the tweaked suspension, lower ground clearance and better steering feedback. Inspired by Hyundai’s i20 World Rally Championship car, the hot hatch features a black grille with a unique pattern and N-Line badge, more aggressively designed front and rear bumpers, blacked out side skirts, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and chromed twin-tip exhausts. Similar to the global model, the India-spec version could be offered in four colour schemes – Aurora Grey, Polar White (with optional Black roof), Phantom Black and Brass.

Interior design and layout will be similar to the regular i20. What will distinguish it will be the sporty front bucket seats, pronounced N badging, N branded leather gear knob, a bespoke steering wheel, metal pedals and N-branded multi functional steering. The seats with contrast red stitching and red accents on door pads add more to its sporty appeal.
Talking about the powertrain, the Hyundai i20 N Line will be packed with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder GDi turbocharged petrol engine. The gasoline motor has been tuned for generating power worth 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. It’s the same motor that does duty to the regular i20 turbo. In terms of pricing, the new i20 N Line is expected to cost from Rs 12 lakh onwards. (ex-showroom). The standard model of the hatchback is currently available in the price range of Rs 6.85 lakh – Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
