2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Testing Begins – Key Details

The South Korean automaker has started testing the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift in the country. Its test mule was recently caught on camera around the company’s Chennai-based facility in Tamil Nadu. While the prototype was covered with camo thick sheets, one can notice the newly-designed alloy wheels and taillamps. Most of the design changes will be made at its front end.

The new Venue will feature a new parametric grille inspired by the new-gen Tucson and Creta facelift. It will carry a revised front bumper, new faux silver coloured skid plate and fog lamp assembly. The rectangular projector headlamps with LED DRLs and airdam, however, will remain intact. The SUV’s new LED taillamps will be connected through a thin LED strip.

Things under the bonnet are likely to remain unchanged. The new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift will continue to come with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol, 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L CRDi diesel engine options. While the turbo-petrol makes a top power of 119bh and 175Nm of torque, the naturally aspirated gasoline unit delivers power worth 82bhp against 113Nm. The diesel motor is good enough for 99bhp and 240Nm.

The Hyundai Venue 2022 will make debut in coming months (around mid 2022). Compared to the existing model, the new one will be slightly more expensive.
