Hyundai is gearing up to launch updated versions of its existing SUV range including the Venue, Creta and the Kona EV. Moreover, the company will launch the new generation Tucson SUV in the next few months. The new generation 2022 Hyundai Tucson has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads.
2022 Hyundai Tucson – New Design Language
The new generation Tucson comes with bold exterior design, as it features the brand’s new design language – “Sensuous Sportiness.” The DRLs are fully integrated into the uniquely styled Parametric front grille. The DRLs are unnoticeable among the dark chrome features when the car is off. While driving, the edges of the geometrically designed grille light up in 5 different, jewel-like triangles of light on each side.
The LED headlamp setup and turn signals are integrated on the lower front bumper, which also has a pair of small air ducts. There are strong creases and lines all around the body. The rear profile has a set of quad tail-lights connected by a full-width LED bar. The lower bumper has unique diamond texture and a faux skid plate.
All-new Interior
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson comes with all-new and feature-loaded cabin. The top of the dashboard is flat, while the lower part is carved in to give airy and open feel. It gets uniqyely styled steering wheel with several buttons. The new Tucson features a dual-screen infotainment system that has a 10.3-inch display for climate control & other functions. The infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and two-device Bluetooth connectivity. There are no physical buttons on offer on the dashboard, except for the engine start/stop.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Specs
The international spec model comes with multiple engine options including a 2.5L inline 4-cylinder petrol, a 1.6L turbo petrol, a 1.6L petrol with an electric motor. The India-spec model is likely to retain the existing 2.0L turbo petrol and a turbo-diesel engine.
