In order to celebrate 2nd anniversary of the premium hatchback, Tata Motors has extended the Dark edition range of the Altroz. The Altroz Dark Edition is now offered in the mid-level XT trim, which is priced at Rs 7.96 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, Delhi). The top-spec Altroz Dark XZ+ has also been updated with more features.
The Tata Altroz XT Dark petrol is around Rs 46,000 expensive than the standard XT petrol. The vehicle comes with Cosmo Dark exterior paint, dark tinted “Hyperstyle” wheels, new “#Dark” badging, and an all-black interior. It gets perforated leatherette seats, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear headrests, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever.
The Altroz XT Dark Edition is offered with two engine options – a 86bhp, 1.2L NA petrol and a 110bhp, 1.2L turbo-petrol. Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company hasn’t release the prices of the Altroz XT Dark turbo-petrol. It is expected to cost around Rs 50,000 more than the standard Altroz XT iTurbo, which is tagged at Rs 8.10 lakh.
The company has also added the diesel version of the Altroz XZ+ Dark edition, which is powered by a 90bhp, 1.5L diesel engine. Prices of the diesel Altroz Dark Edition are yet to be released. It is also expected to be priced around Rs 50,000 more than the standard XZ+ diesel variant, which costs Rs 9.70 lakh. The new Dark Edition also comes with additional safety features such as Brake Sway Control & a tyre pressure monitoring system.
