2022 Maruti Baleno – New Taillamp Design Revealed

In order to create excitement among buyers, Maruti Suzuki has dropped yet another teaser of the upcoming new Baleno hatchback. The latest teaser video shows new LED headlamps, newly-designed LED taillamps with three elements and multi reflector reverse lamps and Head-Up Display (HUD) (first-in-segment). The HUD unit, which is placed above the instrument cluster, will display information such as drive mode (AT variants only), clock, vehicle’s current speed, an instantaneous fuel efficiency and a tachometer.

The new 2022 Maruti Baleno will come with an all-new interior packed with some extra goodies. The hatchback will offer a bigger touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This time around, it will also receive new climate control panel and switches, wireless charger, a revised instrument cluster and a flat-bottom steering sourced from the Swift. The automaker will equip the new Baleno with the connected car technology.

2022 Maruti Baleno HUD teased

With an aim to improve its safety quotient, Maruti Suzuki might offer 6 airbags and electronic stability program (ESP) on the new Baleno model lineup. Though, these features could be reserved for higher trims. On the exterior, the hatchback will also get a new grille and alloy wheels.

Similar to the current model, the updated one will come with the 1.2L VVT naturally aspirated and 1.2L Dualjet petrol with idle start stop technology powertrain options. While the NA gasoline unit makes power worth 82bhp with 113Nm, the Dualjet motor delivers 89bhp with 113Nm. Transmission choices will include a new AMT and a 5-speed manual gearbox.

2022 Maruti Baleno teased

After the updated Baleno, the Indo-Japanese automaker will introduce the 2022 Maruti Ertiga facelift which was recently caught testing. The MPV will witness minor cosmetic and feature upgrades along with a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox replacing the existing 4-speed AT unit. The new Ertiga is reported to hit showrooms in March 2022.
