Ford Motor Company is ready to give a mid-life update to its highly popular EcoSport subcompact SUV in India. While its official launch timeline is yet to be revealed, the new model is likely to arrive sometime next year. The carmaker has started testing the new 2022 Ford EcoSport facelift and its first spy images recently emerged on the web. The spy pictures reveal some interesting design details, which are mentioned below.

– The newly-designed grille appears bigger than the existing model.
– The headlamps have been updated and get new L-shaped DRLs.
– The squarish fog lamp clusters get new LED DRL.
– The existing set of alloy wheels have been replaced with the new 5-spooke design units.
– The rear section is likely to remain unchanged. It will continue to feature the tailgate mounted spare wheel.
– Interior details of the new 2022 Ford EcoSport facelift are still under the wraps. Though, the subcompact SUV is expected to come with Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen. The unit will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
– The interior layout and most of the features will retained from the current model.
– No changes are expected to be made under the hood. The new 2022 Ford EcoSport facelift is likely to come with the 1.5L, 3-cylinder TiVCT petrol and 1.5L TDCi diesel motor delivering power worth 122bhp with 149Nm and 100bhp with 215Nm respectively.
