2021 Nissan Rogue Revealed – Key Changes Explained

The new-generation Nissan Rogue (aka X-Trail) SUV has been revealed by the carmaker. It will be the first of five new Nissan models that will enter production in the next year. The company says that it’s “the ideal mix of expressive design, advanced technology, safety, comfort and versatility”. To be offered in three grades (S, SV and SL), the 2021 Nissan Rogue receives comprehensive cosmetic and feature upgrades. The SUV is slated to launch in the US in fall 2020. Upfront, the SUV features an evolved V-motion grille, new multi-level LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lights) and LED fog lamps. Compared to previous generation, the new model measures 1.5-inch shorter and sits 0.2-inch lower. Some of its key aerodynamic bits include an active grille shutter, “3D” tyre deflectors in the lower front fascia, special A-pillar shaping, a unique “air curtain” and underbody covers.

2021 Nissan Rogue Features

The 2021 Nissan Rogue comes with three interior colour schemes – Charcoal, Tan and Gray. While leather-appointed seats are standard on the SL grade, the quilted semi-aniline leather seats are standard on the Platinum grade. The SUV gets a 9.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The lower variants can be had either with a 7.0-inch or 5.0-inch unit. The new-generation model is packed with lots of advanced goodies including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, Nissan door-to-door navigation (standard on Platinum and optional on SL grade), easy fill tyre alert, push button start, rear door alert, Nissan safety shield 360 technologies, 10 airbags, Propliot assist system, blind spot intervention and more.

2021 Nissan Rogue Interior

Powering the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a 2.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox. The motor pushes out a peak power of 179bhp against 245Nm of torque. The SUV comes with FWD and AWD drivetrain options. It offers three drive modes – Sport, Standard and Eco.
