2021 Mahindra XUV500 To Get Mercedes Like Touchscreen

2021 Mahindra XUV500 is surely one of the much-awaited car launches of the next year. While the SUV’s new model will arrive in the first half of 2021, we have already seen the model (camouflaged) multiple times revealing some of its interesting details. The new XUV500 is likely to take a big leap in terms of design and features. The latest set of spy images confirms that the vehicle will feature Mercedes-Benz inspired instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment system.

There will be a dashboard integrated single-piece wide display that will work as touchscreen infotainment system and instrument console. Though, it could be reserved for the top-end trim. The infotainment unit is likely to support the latest smartphone app. If reports are to be believed, the new-generation XUV500 might be the first Indian SUV to offer level 1 autonomous technology – ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

Based on the new FWD monocoque platform, the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 will bigger than before and have more cabin space to offer. This time around, the SUV will be made available with both 6 and 7-seats layout. While the 6-seater model will come with captain seats for the second row, the 7-seater version will feature bench-type seats.

The SUV’s new-generation model might also be packed with some advanced goodies such as wireless charging and new connected car features. Its design and styling will be inspired by the Mahindra Funster concept that was previewed at the 2020 Auto Expo.
