The advanced driver assistance system offers safety features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, drowsiness detection, lane-keep assist and blindspot detection. On the safety front, the SUV might also get multiple airbags and ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) as standard features.
As mentioned above, the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 will come with the new 2.0L turbocharged mStalliion petrol and 2.2L diesel engines. While the former is likely to deliver power around 187bhp with 380Nm of torque, the latter will be good for 180bhp. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. The new XUV500 will underpin an all-new platform and its design will be inspired by the Mahindra Funster concept that broke cover at the 2020 Auto Expo in February.
