2020 Mahindra Thar TVC Shoot In Ladakh – Behind the Scenes

The new-generation Mahindra Thar was recently caught on camera during its TVC shoot in Ladakh. The SUV seems to be filmed in action on rough terrains. Last month, the carmaker released a video showing off-road capabilities of the 2020 Mahindra Thar. Official bookings of the vehicle will be commenced from its launch day – i.e. 2nd October, 2020.

On the same date, the carmaker celebrates its Founder’s Day. With significantly improved styling, interior and off-road capabilities, the new Thar will lock horns against the next-generation Force Gurkha that’s due for this festive season.

The carmaker has confirmed that the all-new Thar will be offered in two trims – AX (Adventure Series) and LX (Lifestyle Series). One of the biggest changes comes in the form of the new 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol engine and a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox (only on LX trim).

The new gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 150bhp against 320Nm of torque. The diesel version uses the updated 2.2L mHawk unit that’s good enough for 130bhp and 320Nm. Both engines will be made available with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.
