2020 Mahindra Thar Might Look Like Jeep Wrangler

Compared to the existing model, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will bigger. It’s rumored to come with a factory-fitted hard top and two seating layouts (5 and 6 seats). The SUV’s all-new model will get new body panels, higher set front bumper with integrated fog lamps, redesigned LED taillamps and revised rear bumper.
The top-end trim of the 2020 Mahindra Thar could be exclusively offered with a touchscreen infotainment system. The list of features might also include a new instrument console with a large MID in centre, black interior theme, steering wheel with mounted controls, newly-designed dashboard and more.
With the generation change, the Mahindra Thar will receive a petrol engine and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It might source the 2.2L petrol motor from the Mahindra XUV500 that’s good for 140bhp and 320Nm.
The existing 2.5L CRDe diesel engine will also be replaced with a new BS6-compliant 2.2L oil burner pushing out power close to 140bhp. This will make it more powerful than the existing model. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard on the carline.
