South Korean automaker Hyundai has introduced the 2015 Elantra saloon in the United States. The sedan features several tweaks to both exteriors and interiors. The company is offering an additional packaging option and updated colours across the Elantra lineup. Its performance-oriented model Elantra Sport gets a new optional Tech Package, while the Elantra SE adds a new Style Package offering.
The Elantra SE and limited editions are now offered with fresh exterior shades like Lakeside Blue, Shale Gray Metallic, Symphony Silver and Quartz White Pearl, while the Sport model has Monaco White hue. The automatic version is equipped with added equipments like Blue Link telematic, 7-inch touchscreen navigation system and a 360-watt premium sound system with external digital amp.
The Elantra SE Style package features black cloth seats, projector headlights, power tilt & side sunroof, aluminium inserts, leather wrapped steering wheel with shift knob, etc. Under the hood, the Hyundai Elanta gets two engine options. A 1.8-litre Nu four-cylinder engine that produces 145bhp and the Sport model has 2.0-litre Nu GDI engine producing 173bhp.
For passengers’ safety and security, the 2015 Hyundai Elantra gets six airbags, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, Traction control, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, hill start assist control, seatbelt pretensioners, tyre pressure monitoring system, daytime running lamps and driver’s blind spot mirror.
