General Motors will roll out its fastest production car ever- the all-new 2015 Corvette Z06 in US by early next year. This car will be made available in both Coupe and Convertible body style.
Powering the 2015 Corvette Z06 is the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine that is capable of developing a massive power output of 650bhp at 6,400rpm and a peak torque of 881Nm at 3,600rpm. Compared with other supercar engines, the LT4 is a veritable fountain of low-end torque, producing 619Nm just off idle and 847Nm by only 2,800rpm. The LT4 maintains 90 percent of its peak torque, or 802Nm, from 2,500 to 5,400 rpm.
The new Z06 engine produces 40 per cent more torque 244Nm than the previous-generation’s 7.0L LS7 engine- and 7.5 per cent more than the supercharged 2013 Corvette ZR1’s 819Nm.
