2 Big SUVs Coming in the First Week of June 2023

The month of June will get hotter with the arrival of two new SUVs – the 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Honda Elevate. While the former will go on sale on 7th June, the latter will make its global debut on 6th June. The market launch of the new Honda midsize will happen in August 2023. Let’s take a look at key details of both upcoming SUVs.

Honda Elevate

Honda Elevate SUV Confirmed

Honda’s all-new Elevate will face challenge from Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and other midsize SUVs. The model will share its platform and engine with the City sedan. It’s reported to be offered with the 121bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol motor, which could be followed by the strong hybrid powertrain at a later stage. In terms of features, the Elevate might offer a semi digital instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, cruise control, push button start/stop, etc. One of its major attractions will be Honda Sensing ADAS tech. 5-Door Maruti Jimny

Maruti Jimny Alpha

India will be the first market to receive 5-door Jimny lifestyle off-road SUV. Here, the model lineup will be made available in 2 trims – Zeta and Alpha. Both are powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine making power worth 105bhp and 134.2Nm. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. It has Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro AWD system with a manual transfer case and a low range gearbox. The carmaker says that the Jimny manual delivers a mileage of 16.94kmpl and its automatic version offers 16.39kmpl.
