Japanese car manufacturer Honda is all set to launch its much-anticipated Mobilio MPV in the Indian car market. It will be the company’s first MPV to come India. Based on the versatile Brio platform, the Mobilio MPV will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. The exact launch date of the Honda Mobilio is yet to be announced but we expect it to make its Indian debut by the July this year. Toyota is also working on an all-new Innova; however, this model will go on sale by 2016. While the Honda Mobilio MPV is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 6.2 lakh to 10 lakh, the Innova costs Rs. 9.67 lakh for base model and Rs. 14.92 lakh for top end model. Honda Mobilio MPV will be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol engine will be coupled to either five-speed manual, the oil burner will be paired to a six-speed manual gearbox. The generated power is transmitted to front wheels. On the other hand, the Innova is also available in both petrol & diesel guise and both engines are paired with 5-speed manual gearbox which sends the power to rear wheels of the MPV.
