Bajaj Auto is aiming to launch a series of two wheelers in the Indian two wheeler market. The company is readying at least 3 new bikes, which will be sold under the Pulsar brand. The homegrown automaker is working on Pulsar 160 NS, Pulsar 200 SS and Pulsar 400 SS, which are schedule to go on sale this year. The first model to hit our market will be the Pulsar 200 SS, which has been spotted several times during its test rounds. The affordable sportsbike has already been unveiled in Cambodia and Turkey, and is currently been tested across the extreme conditions of the world.
Ahead of its launch, the new pictures of the Pulsar 200SS have emerged on interweb. The spotted bike was wrapped up in blue livery. This model looks stylish, thanks to its dual-point paint scheme and styling. The model snapped features the Saree Guard, which is mandatory for India, giving us indication that the bike could be India spec model. Sharing most of its specification with the Pulsar 200 NS, the fully faired 200 SS gets the same liquid cool 200cc engine that churns out a maximum power output of 23.52PS and a peak torque of 18Nm. The biking fairing will lead to an increase in its weight, so expect a slightly tweaked engine to maintain the performance and efficiency.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS stylish seems to be inspired from the Pulsar 400 SS, which was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. It comes equipped with full bike fairing, clip-on handle bars, dual projector headlamps with LEDs, short side-slung exhaust, etc. The model might also get ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) variant alongside the standard model. The bike is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.2 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh.
