Honda City Hatchback and Jazz Crosstar Registered in Brazil
Honda has registered the new City hatchback, City sedan and the new-gen Fit Crosstar in Brazil.
Japanese automaker, Honda has registered the new City hatchback with the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property) in Brazil. The hatchback has the same front design as the new generation City sedan, which is already on sale in Thailand. The new Honda City sedan will be launched in the Indian market in June-July 2020.
The new Honda City hatchback’s front grille design is inspired by the large Accord sedan. It has full-LED headlamps with daytime running lamps; however, the full LED unit is expected to be offered on the high-end variants. Honda also registered a new panel for the model, which has a central housing to charge a multimedia center.
The rear profile is the major difference between the City sedan and the hatchback. The sedan’s rear design is inspired by the Insight sedan, featuring new air vents on the bumper and LED flashlights. The same headlamps will also be offered with the new Honda City hatchback. The new model will rival the likes of the Volkswagen Polo, new Chevrolet Onix, Hyundai HB20 and the Toyota Yaris.
Honda is yet to make an announcement for the launch of the new City hatchback in the Brazilian market. The company has aslo registered rear bumper options with parking sensor housings in City twins.
Honda has also registered the new generation Honda Fit also known as new Jazz in Brazil. The fourth generation Honda Fit will be launched in Brazil in 2021. Interestingly, the company had registered only the adventurous version of the hatchback. This model is known as the Jazz Crosstar in the Japanese market.
The registered model features black plastic cladding over the entire length. The headlamp design has also been revised, which will be full LED unit with daytime running lamps. The LED tail-lights have also been revised with more creases and curves. The hatchback will have large front and black plastic cladding.
