BS6 Honda City Petrol Prices Leaked; Launch Soon
Honda Cars India will soon roll out the BS6-compliant petrol version of its highly popular City mid-size sedan. Ahead of its official launch, prices of the vehicle have been leaked on the web. With the BS6 upgrade, the Honda City petrol has witnessed a price hike of up to Rs 16,000. Though, the entry-level SV manual variant is around Rs 10,000 more expensive than its BS4 version. Powering the new BS6 Honda City petrol is the same 1.5L, 4-cylinder engine that has been calibrated to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. The gasoline unit is good enough for 119bhp and 145Nm of torque. It comes with both a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox option.
The Japanese carmaker is ready to give a generation change to the Honda City early next year. The fifth-generation City will debut on 25th November, followed by its Thailand launch. The sedan’s new model will receive comprehensive design changes inspired by the new Civic and Accord.
For the first time, the carmaker will offer the diesel-CVT combination on the mid-size sedan model lineup. The 2020 Honda City will also be made available with a mild-hybrid petrol engine option.
