2020 Mahindra Scorpio Interior Revealed; To Get Drive Modes

Mahindra & Mahindra has been testing the new-generation Scorpio for quite some time and we have seen a bunch of its spy images. The latest set of pictures confirms that the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio will come with the drive mode selector enabling to control throttle and steering response. It’s most likely to offer three modes – Eco, City and Sport.

The AWD (all-wheel-drive) version of the new Scorpio could be offered with an additional off-road driving mode. There will be a newly-designed dashboard along with a large touchscreen infotainment system. While the top-end trims might get Alturas like 9.0-inch unit, the lower variants could be offered with a 7.0-inch infotainment system sourced from the XUV300.

The 2020 Mahindra Scorpio will also borrow most of its interior bits from the Marazzo MPV including instrument cluster, gear lever, control stalks and steering wheel. All variants of the SUV will get the forward facing seats. Compared to the existing generation, the new version will sit on a longer wheelbase. Built on an all-new ladder-frame chassis, the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio has been conceptualized and designed by the company’s North American Technical Centre in Detroit, US. Power for the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio will come from the BS6-compliant 2.0L diesel engine pushing a maximum power of 160bhp and 400Nm of torque. Initially, it will be made available with a 6-speed manual gearbox only. The carmaker will introduce the automatic transmission at a later stage.
