We informed you earlier that Honda will introduce the new CB300R Neo Sports Cafe in the Indian market. Bookings for the new motorcycle have already been commenced at Honda’s Wing World dealerships across the country at a token amount of Rs 5,000. The company has now officially announced that the new 2019 Honda CB300R will go on sale in India on February 8, 2019. The company has officially announced that the new motorcycle will be priced under Rs 2.5 lakh. It will be assembled in India from CKD kits.

For people not in the know, the Honda CB300R was first unveiled at the 2017 EICMA motorcycle show. The new motorcycle shares styling cues from the bigger sibling – the 2018 CB1000R. This Neo Sports Cafe features several retro-styled features including round headlamp, muscular fuel tank and stubby rear. Features like LED lighting system and liquid-cooled engine adds a modern touch to it.

Powering the 2019 Honda CB300R is a 300cc, DOHC single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooling and fuel injection. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 30bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 27.5Nm at 7,500rpm. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. This 300cc engine features minimum number of moving parts, which helps in reducing maintenance cost. The motorcycle comes with a 10-litre fuel tank, and is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 30.2kmpl.

The new Honda CB300R features 296mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes, which are further assisted by a twin-channel ABS. For suspension duties, the motorcycle gets 41mm upside-down front forks and a rear 5-step adjustable monoshock suspension setup. It will be offered in 2 paint schemes – Matt Axis Grey Metallic and Candy Chromoshphere Red. The naked bike directly rivals the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R and Bajaj Dominar 400.
