7-Seater Baojun 530 SUV Unveiled; Might Come To India

Dimensions of the Baojun 530 7-seater model are exactly similar to the 5-seater version.

MG Motor will enter India by mid of this year with Baojun 530 5-seater SUV that’s reported to be re-engineered and launched as MG Gloster. However, the official name of the vehicle is yet to be announced by the carmaker. Reports suggest that 7-seater version of the SUV will also make its way to India. Recently, the Baojun 530 7-seater SUV launched in the Chinese market.

Interestingly, the dimensions of the Baojun 530 7-seater model are exactly similar to the 5-seater version. That means, the SUV measures 4655mm in length, 1835mm in width and 1760mm in height with a wheelbase of 2750mm. Though, MG might make some structural differences to improve its comfort. The 7-seater version has 2+3+2 seating arrangement with split ratio of 50:50. The seats are foldable and have adjustable headrests. For Chinese market, the Baojun 530 7-seater SUV is made available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that also does duty in the 5-seater version. This gasoline unit produces two power outputs – 149.56PS with 230Nm and 150.92PS with 250Nm. Check Out – Upcoming MG Cars in India

While the smaller capacity unit gets a 6-speed manual transmission, the higher capacity motor comes with a CVT gearbox. MG’s first SUV in India will feature a 1.5L turbocharged petrol and Fiat-sourced 2.0L Multijet II diesel powertrains. The latter one makes two states of power – 140PS and 170PS.
