Tata Tiago JTP & Tigor JTP Revealed; Launch Tomorrow

Tata Motors has released official pictures, specifications and features of the upcoming performance-oriented Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP models. Both vehicles are ready to go on sale in India tomorrow (26th October, 2018). Developed jointly by Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP were first previewed in their concept avatar at the 2018 Auto Expo.

The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP use the same 1.2 -litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that does duty in the Nexon compact SUV. However, this gasoline unit has been tuned for generating power worth 112bhp at 5,000rpm and 150Nm of torque between 2,000rpm – 4,000rpm.

Both models can do 0-100kmph in 10 seconds. For transmission duties, the cars get a 5-speed manual gearbox with optimized gear ratios for better performance. The JTP models offer two driving modes- Sport and City. Read – 5 Interesting Facts About Tata Tiago JTP

What add more to their performance are stiffer suspension, tuned electric power steering and wider tyres. Safety features such as dual airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution) and corner stability control are standard across the JTP range.

In terms of design and styling, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP look sportier than the regular models. Some of their interesting elements include revised front bumper with large trapezoidal lower grille, dual chamber projector headlamps with chrome rings, sporty side skirts, contrast coloured ORVMs, new 15-inch alloy wheels and dual tone exterior with glossy black roof and rear spoiler. Read – Tata Harrier 7-Seater Model To Launch Soon

Comprehensive changes have also been made inside the cabin. The performance models get all-black sporty interior with contrast red bits, new seat fabric with red hexagonal motif and red double stitching, aluminium pedals and a leather wrap steering wheel. The cars also offer a ConnectNext infotainment system with voice commands and navigation assist.
