TVS Apache Brand Achieves 3 Million Sales Mark In India

TVS Motor Company has announced that its popular TVS Apache brand has achieved 3 million sales milestone so far. The Apache motorcycle brand was first introduced in 2005 and became an instant hit. The TVS Apache series is divided into two – Naked and Super Sports.

The Naked category includes four bikes – TVS Apache RTR 160, the newly-launched TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS Apache RTR 180, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0. The TVS Apache RR 310 is the first Super Sport bike in the category.

In August 2018, the Chennai based bikemaker sold a total of 3, 43,217 units as opposed to 3, 17,563 units of the same month last year, accounting 8% growth. It includes both domestic market and exports two-wheelers and three-wheelers figures. The company managed to retail 3,30,076 units of the two-wheelers as compared to 3,09,146 units in August, 2017. While the scooters sales grew by 11 per cent, the motorcycle sales witnessed 18 per cent growth.
