Yamaha Motor Company has rolled out the Ray ZR 125 Hybrid Scooter at Rs 76,830. The new Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Hybrid variant has been made available at Rs 83,830. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Just so you know, the hybrid scooter was first previewed during the launch of the new Yamaha FZ-X retro-styled motorcycle in June 2021.
The standard Ray ZR Hybrid drum variant has been offered in two colour schemes, namely, Metallic Black and Cyan Blue. The disc variant comes in a choice of two new (Reddish Yellow Cocktail and Racing Blue) and three regular colours – Metallic Black, Matt Red, Cyan Blue and MotoGP Edition. The Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Hybrid is available in new Reddish Yellow Cocktail and Racing Blue shades along with the Sparkle Green and Matt Copper.

Powertrain system of the new Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Hybrid includes a 125cc, air-cooled FI (fuel injected) engine boosted with ‘Hybrid Power Assist’. The motor pushes out a peak power of 8.2PS at 6500rpm and 10.Nm for torque at 5000rpm. It also comes with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system that offers power assist for a few seconds when the motor is accelerated from stop and automatic engine stop-start.
The new Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Hybrid and Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Hybrid have been equipped with LED headlamp, LED position light, Bluetooth connectivity with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app, a digital instrument cluster and a side stand engine cut off feature. The under seat storage capacity stands at 21-litres. Features such as brush guard, metal plates, coloured wheel stripes and block pattern tyres distinguish the Ray ZR Street Rally Hybrid from the standard model.
