The much-anticipated Yamaha FZ-X will finally go on sale in the Indian market today. While official bookings are yet to be commenced, Yamaha dealers have unofficially started taking pre-orders at an initial token amount of Rs 1,000 – 5,000.

The new Yamaha FZ-X is based on the FZS V3 platform. However, the motorcycle design seems inspired by the XSR 155. The Yamaha’s FZ range is available at a starting price of Rs 1.04 lakh, and the top-model cost between Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected that the new Yamaha FZ-X will be priced slightly more than the FZ Series. We believe the new FZ-X to cost around Rs 1.15 lakh.
