Hyundai Alcazar Launching Today; Expected Price Rs 13 to 20 Lakh

The long-awaited Hyundai Alcazar 3-Row SUV will finally be launched in the country today. The new model is based on the Creta platform; however, Hyundai engineers have modified the platform to accommodate a long wheelbase model. Expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, the Hyundai Alcazar will rival the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the Mahindra XUV500.

– The new Hyundai Alcazar SUV will be offered in 6-and 7-seat layouts. The six-seater model comes with captain seats for the second row along with floor mounted central console. The central console has storage space along with wireless charging slot. Adding to it, the captain seats come with slding function and the third-row seat comes with reclining function. Hyundai Alcazar Prices

– The Alcazar 3-row SUV engine options – a 159PS/192Nm, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and a 115PS/250Nm, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The petrol version is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in 9.5 seconds. Hyundai Alcazar comes with three driving modes – Sport, Comfort and Eco. Adding to it, the vehicle offers three control modes – Snow, Sand and Mud.

– In terms of fuel economy, the new Alcazar is claimed to be the most fuel efficient in its category. The petrol MT and AT returns an ARAI certified mileage of  14.5kmpl and 14.2kmpl respectively. The diesel returns 20.4kmpl with manual gearbox and 18.1kmpl with automatic gearbox.

– The new model comes fitted with a premium Bose sound system with 8 speakers. The Alcazar 3-row SUV is likely to come in 6 variants – Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O). The top-spec variant will be available in the Hyundai’s Signature Outlet in metro cities only.

– It offers a boot space of 180-litres, which can be further increased by folding the third-row seat. Adding to it, the SUV rides on 2,760mm wheelbase that is 150mm more than the Creta’s wheelbase. Color options include aiga Brown, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Polar White, Starry Night and Phantom Black. The dual-tone colour options are Polar White with Black roof, and Titan Grey with Black roof.

– In terms of features, the SUV gets 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, smartphone connectivity, Blind view monitor, ambient lighting, air purifier, LED lighting system, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, wireless charging pad, etc.
