Hyundai Motor India recently entered into the premium 7-seater SUV space with the Alcazar SUV that costs between Rs 16.30 lakh – Rs 20.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker has revealed that the three-row SUV gathered 4000 bookings till date and most of the orders are for the petrol variants and 6-seater version. Currently, the Alcazar commands a waiting period of 4-6 weeks (i.e. around 2 months). During the 7-seater SUV launch, the South Korean carmaker revealed that the Creta has a waiting period of up to 5 months.
Recently, the Hyundai Creta SUV model lineup gets expansion with the new SX Executive trim that comes in both petrol and diesel engines. While the Creta SX Executive petrol has been priced at Rs 13.18 lakh, the diesel model is available at Rs 14.18 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The new trim comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of 10.25-inch unit. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. The SX Executive misses out one Arkamys audio system, voice recognition button and chrome door handles.
The 2021 Hyundai Creta is available with the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine options. While the gasoline unit has been tuned for generating power worth 113bhp and 144Nm of torque, the oil burner returns a claimed power of 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup. Buyers also have options to choose from 6-speed torque convertor automatic (diesel only), 7-speed DCT automatic (diesel only) and CVT automatic (petrol only) gearbox.
The Hyundai Alcazar three-row SUV uses the Creta’s 1.5L diesel engine, which has been calibrated to produce 115bhp with 250Nm of torque. The SUV’s petrol model comes equipped with a 2.0L motor pushing out 159bhp and 191Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmissions are on offer. The Prestige (O), Platinum (O) and Signature (O) are exclusively offered with three drive modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport) and three traction modes (Sand, Snow, Mud).
