Volkswagen Taigun Gets Feature Upgrades; Prices Increased By 4%

Volkswagen India has introduced tyre pressure monitoring system and idle start/stop features as standard across the Taigun model lineup. Earlier, TPMS was available only on the Topline trim. Now, the Volkswagen Taigun 1.0L manual variants are claimed to return increased fuel economy of 19.20kmpl and automatic models deliver 17.23kmpl.

The SUV’s Performance Line now gets Wild Cherry Red décor inserts only with the Wild Cherry Red colour scheme. Other exterior paint schemes are now offered with Armur Grey Glossy décor inserts. The company is retailing the Volkswagen Taigun via its 152 sales touchpoints across the country. Besides this, the German automaker has increased prices of the Taigun and Tiguan SUVs by 2.5 per cent – 4 per cent depending on the variant. One must note that the new prices have been implemented from 2nd May, 2022. The reason behind the price hike is said to be the rising input costs.
