Royal Enfield Meteor, Himalayan Won’t Get Tripper Nav As Standard

Royal Enfield has removed the Tipper navigation system as standard feature from the Meteor 350 and Himalayan model lineup. Now, it’s available as an optional offering. One must note that buyers can add these aforementioned feature at the time of booking via the brand’s ‘Make it Yours’ configurator. The reason behind this decision is said to be the serious chip shortage.

With the deletion of Tripper navigation, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has witnessed a price decline of around Rs 4,000. Now, the entry-level Fireball variant costs Rs 2.01 lakh and the top-end Supernova model is priced at Rs 2.17 lakh. Interestingly, the Royal Enfield Himalayan continues to come within the price range of Rs 2.15 lakh – Rs 2.22 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

Tripper Navigation System

For Tripper navigation, the Meteor and Himalayan have an additional pod placed on the right side of the instrument cluster. It’s essentially Royal Enfield’s Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation system. User have to pair the phone (via Bluetooth) to the navigation system via RE’s app. The display, however, doesn’t show incoming calls and messages.
