Upcoming Royal Enfield Sherpa 650 – 4 Key Things To Know

Royal Enfield confirmed multiple new 350cc and 650cc motorcycles and some of them are currently under their testing phase. These models will be sole in domestic and global markets. One of the upcoming new Royal Enfield bikes is a 650cc Scrambler that was caught on camera in late 2022. According to a media report, the production-ready version of the RE Scrambler could be named ‘Royal Enfield Sherpa 650’. The model will share its underpinning, engine, components and features with the RE 650 twins.

– The new Royal Enfield Scrambler will derive its power from a 648cc, parallel-twin engine. The motor returns a claimed power of 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. The company might tune the engine to suit needs of a cruiser motorcycle. It will come with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

– The spotted prototype was equipped with an upside-down fork suspension at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power will come from the front and rear disc brakes. The bike will get dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard fitment.  It had wire spoke wheel shod with dual purpose tyres.

– The new RE 650cc bike might get a small flyscreen upfront from wind protection. Though, it could be a part of the accessory pack. The upcoming Royal Enfield Sherpa 650 could be the brand’s first 650cc model to feature 2-into-1 exhaust system. It might feature a retro-styled circular headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat seat.

– Some of its key features might include a semi-digital instrument console, Tripper navigation system, etc. As of now, the Chennai-based bikemaker is gearing up to launch the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 that made its debut at the last year’s Rider Mania in Goa. The bike will use the same 648cc, parallel-twine engine that does duty in the RE Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The company will also offer multiple colour options and a range of accessories with the bike.
