Upcoming Royal Enfield Bikes in 2024 – 3 Big Launches Expected

Royal Enfield, the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer, continues to dominate the middleweight motorcycle segment, solidifying its status as a lifestyle brand. Building on the successes of 2023, which saw the introduction of the new-generation Bullet 350 and Himalayan, the company is gearing up for an exciting 2024 with a lineup.

The much-anticipated Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is set to go on sale in January 2024. The Shotgun 650 will be available in four distinctive color schemes – Sheet Metal Grey, Green Drill, Stencil White, and Plasma Blue. It shares platform, engine, and components with the RE Super Meteor 650. At the heart of the bike lies the 648cc parallel-twin engine, delivering power worth 47bhp and 52.3Nm of torque.

Setting it apart from the Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun boasts a more upright seating position, courtesy of mid-set footpegs and a flatter handlebar. The RE Shotgun 650 has a taller seat height of 795mm, a shorter wheelbase, and reduced length than the Super Meteor. Remarkably, it manages to shed weight, coming in 1 kg lighter than its counterpart. Buyers can opt for either a single or pillion seat setup.

Another eagerly awaited model, the Royal Enfield Hunter 450, is on the horizon for 2024. Based on the Himalayan 450’s platform, this bike features a 450cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Sporting 17-inch front and rear wheels and telescopic fork suspension, the Hunter 450 promises a nimble and agile ride. Spy images hint at a distinctive design, including a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, minimal side panels, and modern LED headlamp and taillight.

Adding to the anticipation, the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is expected to hit the roads in 2024. Building on the success of the RE Interceptor 650, this model distinguishes itself as the first 650cc Royal Enfield bike with a two-into-one exhaust system. Utilizing the Interceptor’s proven 650cc engine (47bhp/52Nm) and platform, the Scrambler 650 features wire-spoke rims and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR dual-purpose tubed tyres. Suspension duties are handled by a USD fork and twin shock absorbers.
