Royal Enfield 450cc Roadster Motorcycle Spied For The First Time

It is no secret that Royal Enfield is working on multiple motorcycles starting from 350cc to 650cc capacity range. The company is also readying a new 450cc engine platform, which will be used to develop 5 new bikes including the new Himalayan 450. In fact, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has already been teased while doing off-road testing in Leh-Ladakh. This time around, a new Royal Enfield 450cc roadster has been spotted testing on foreign soil.

The new Royal Enfield 450cc motorcycle has a neo-retro roadster, featuring an upright riding position for the rider and a slightly rear-set footpegs. The motorcycle gets a swooping round tank that appears to be a large single-piece seat. It comes with LED lighting system including LED headlamp setup, LED turn indicators and LED tail-lights. The turn indicators are shared with the Himalayan 450.

The new Royal Enfield 450cc naked motorcycle will come with an all-new liquid-cooled engine, which will be coupled to an all-new chassis. The exhaust system with stubby end-can looks identical to the one offered on the Hunter 350. This motorcycle comes with a monoshock rear suspension unit instead of twin shock absorbers in the Hunter 350. The new RE 450cc roadster will feature a conventional telescopic front fork instead of USD in the newly introduced Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

The new motorcycle rides on uniquely styled cast alloy rims and are wrapped with CEAT tyres. The new 450cc naked bike comes with front and rear disc brakes along with dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The spotted model has a couple of luggage options such as a rear base plate and saddle stays on both sides. This suggest that Royal Enfield will also offer an array of accessories when this bike is launched.

The new Royal Enfield 450cc roadster motorcycle is likely to take some time before its official introduction in our market. In fact, the spotted model appears to be an early prototype, as it misses out on instrument console and has exposed wiring.
