Upcoming Cars/SUVs In Next 2 Weeks – 2 Launches, 2 Unveilings

Within 16 days of this month, we have witnessed some important new car unveilings and launches including the Citroen C5 Aircross, new BMW 6 Series GT, Hyundai Alcazar, new Skoda Kodiq and Kia Sonet 7-seater SUV. The remaining weeks of April 2021 will also be action-packed, as multiple products have been planned to roll out. Here’s a brief on the upcoming 4 new cars/SUVs, which are slated to debut and launch in coming weeks.

Kia Seltos Gravity Edition

Kia Motor India has confirmed that it will launch a new model on 27th April 2021. The teaser reveals it will be the Kia Seltos Gravity Edition that’s already on sale in the South Korean market. It’s likely to be based on the range-topping trim featuring some cosmetic enhancements. The upcoming Gravity Edition will also mark debut of Kia’s new logo. Minor changes will also be made to its interior. Engine setup, however, will remain unchanged.

New-Gen Skoda Octavia

The new-generation Skoda Octavia launch has been confirmed for April 2021. However, its launch date is yet to be announced. In fact, the model has started arriving at dealerships across the country. Significant changes have been made to its exterior and interior. One of major upgrades comes in the form of a more powerful 2.0L TSI turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 190bhp. The sedan will have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. There will be no diesel engine option.

Hyundai Kona N

Hyundai Koa N, the performance-oriented version of the SUV, will make its global debut on 27th April 2021. The model will see a release in the UK towards the end of this year. One must note that it won’t come to India. The teaser pictures reveal that the upcoming hot SUV will share its design bits with the i30 N and i20 N hot hatches. Besides the ‘N’ badges, the Kona N will witness some cosmetic, feature and mechanical updates over the standard model. It will use a 280bhp, 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

New-Gen Honda Civic

The Japanese carmaker recently revealed the first picture of the 11th generation Honda Civic sedan. As per the leaked information, the new model will come in four trims (LX, Sport, EX and Touring) and 7 colour options including new Meteorite Grey and Morning Mist shades.  It will be first launched in China, followed by Japan and the USA. It won’t come to India. Globally, the 2022 Honda Civic will be offered with a 1.5L VTEC turbo petrol engine and Honda i-MMD hybrid powertrains. It will offer an e-CVT gearbox and FWD system.
