TVS NTorq Race Edition Gets A New Marine Blue Colour

TVS Motor Company has introduced a new Marine Blue colour to its NTorq 125 Race Edition scooter model lineup. The new colour variant costs at Rs 87,011, which is around Rs 500 expensive than its other colour versions. Earlier, the TVS NTorq Race Edition was available in two paint schemes – Red & Black and Yellow & Black. No other changes have been made to the scooter. It uses the same 125.8cc, single-cylinder engine that’s good enough for 9.4bhp and 10.5Nm. It can do 0 to 60kmph in 9 seconds and attain a top speed of 95kmph.

The NTorq Race XP variant, which is more powerful version of the scooter, delivers 10.06bhp and 10.8Nm. The Race Edition features a new LED headlamp with a T-shaped diffused LED DRL, coloured body panels, chequered-style decals on the front apron and side panels, black (in standard)/red plastic (Race Edition) near the footboard and a hazard light. The overall length, width and height of the scooter stand at 1861mm, 710mm and 1164mm respectively. It has a wheelbase of 1285mm.

Talking about the company’s future plan, TVS has started testing its upcoming new electric scooter that was recently caught on camera. The model is likely to be the final production version of the TVS Creon EV concept that was first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. The concept was equipped with the three lithium-ion batteries and a 12kW electric motor. It was said to accelerate 0-60kmph in 5.1 seconds and deliver a range of 80km on a full charge.

Reports suggest that the Chennai-based automaker might use the TVS iQube IP 67 lithium-ion battery packs with an electric motor making 5.9bhp. Some key highlights of the upcoming new TVS electric scooter might include a large instrument panel, ergonomically positioned handlebar, a low-set, long seat and integrated grab rails.
