Kawasaki W175 India Launch On 25th September – 6 Key Details

Kawasaki W175, the retro-styled motorcycle from the Japanese bikemaker, will hit Indian roads on 25th September 2022. After the Kawasaki W800, it will be the second offering from the company’s W lineup in the country. The W175 will be a Made-in-India model that’s expected to cost around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Here, the new Kawasaki bike won’t have any direct rival.

For power, the Kawasaki W175 uses a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine boosted with fuel injection technology. The motor returns a claimed power of 13bhp at 7,500rpm and 13.2Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Transmission duties will be performed by a 5-speed gearbox via chain-drive system.

The bike carries a weight of 135kgs and has a ground clearance of 165mm. Its seat height stands at 790mm. The new Kawasaki retro bike underpins double cradle frame, steel chassis and sits on a 1320mm long wheelbase.

The new W175 measures 2006mm in length, 802mm in width and 1052mm in height. It offers a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres.

Kawasaki W175 Specs

The suspension setup of the Kawasaki W175 incudes telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The bike derives its braking power from the front disc and rear drum brakes along with the single channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). It comes assembled with 17-inch, wire-spoke wheels.

Design elements such as a halogen round headlamp, old-school rear view mirros halogen turn indicators and taillamps enhance its retro look. It has ribbed saddle and spoke wheels. The bike has minimal body graphics and panels.

It comes with an analog odometer, an analog speedometer and an analog trip meter. Buyers will have two colour options to choose from – Ebony Black and Special Edition Red.

More details of the locally-manufactured new Kawasaki 177cc bike will be revealed in coming weeks. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
