Triumph Speed 400 On-Road Prices In Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad

Triumph’s latest offering, the Speed 400 motorcycle, has created quite a buzz among buyers as it aims to rival Royal Enfield. Just a week ago, Triumph announced the ex-showroom prices for the Speed 400, starting at Rs 2.33 lakh. Additionally, the company revealed a special offer where the first 10,000 customers can own the bike for Rs 2.23 lakh. Autocar has now provided on-road prices for the Triumph Speed 400 in four select cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Hyderabad.

It is important to note that the on-road prices mentioned are based on the Rs 2.33 lakh ex-showroom price, and do not include the special offer for the first 10,000 buyers. In Delhi, the on-road price for the Triumph Speed 400 is Rs 2,67,927. In Mumbai and Goa, buyers can get the bike for Rs 2,87,247 and Rs 2,86,669, respectively. In Hyderabad, the new Triumph bike is available at Rs 2,87,074.

In terms of pricing, the new Triumph 400cc motorcycle is positioned competitively against its rivals, including the Royal Enfield Interceptor, BMW G 310R, and KTM 390 Duke. Triumph is offering the Speed 400 with a 2-year/unlimited mileage warranty and a 16,000km service interval. Deliveries of the bike are set to commence towards the end of this month.

Powering the Triumph Speed 400 is a 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine named the TR-Series. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, it generates a maximum power of 40bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The same engine-gearbox combination will also be featured in the upcoming Triumph Scrambler 400 X, which is expected to launch in late October 2023.

The Speed 400’s new rival, the Harley-Davidson X440, boasts a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine delivering 27bhp and 38Nm of torque. It features a 6-speed gearbox, a 3mm USD fork, and a twin shock absorber suspension setup. The X440 is the first model resulting from the partnership between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp.
