Toyota Kirloskar Motor has revealed the interior of its upcoming subcompact SUV – the Toyota Urban Cruiser. Based on Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza, the new compact SUV from Toyota will hit roads sometime next month. Its official bookings were commenced last week. Here’re 5 important features of the Urban Cruiser, which are highlighted in the latest official pictures.
1. Dark brown theme
The Japanese carmaker has confirmed that its new subcompact SUV will have dual-tone dark brown interior with black finish on the dashboard. You can notice silver treatment around the AC vents, on the dashboard and door panels. The carmaker says that the Urban Cruiser has “a wide & spacious cabin that assures comfort for all occupants”.
2. Engine push start/stop button
The new subcompact SUV from Toyota comes equipped with engine push start/stop button ensuring security and convenience.
3. Automatic AC unit

4. Electrochromic rear view mirror
The electrochromic rear view mirror helps reduce glare by sensing light and dims it accordingly. It will be standard across the compact SUV model lineup.
5. Smart Playcast touchscreen
Similar to the Vitara Brezza, the Toyota Urban Cruiser comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The unit also comes with smartphone based navigation system.
Besides aforementioned features, the new Toyota compact SUV offers steering mounted audio and phone controls, power adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, a monochrome MID for the instrument cluster, cruise control, front and rear seat armrests, charging ports in the front centre console and several other goodies.
Powering the Urban Cruiser will be a 1.5L petrol engine making 105bhp. The small SUV can be had either with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. All automatic variants will be benefited with Suzuki’s mild hybrid technology.
